Plasma is one of the four basic states of matter (along with solid, liquid, and gas). It consists of a gas of ions—atoms, some of which are stripped of their orbital electrons—and free electrons. Plasma can be artificially generated by heating neutral gases or by exposing them to a strong electromagnetic field. Oxygen and nitrogen plasma (the main gases in the air around us) has a significant healing effect on skin cells at the DNA level.

Sterilization:

The electrical tension between the freely charged particles (electrons and ions) in the plasma causes the breakdown of cell membranes, accelerates the self-destruction mechanism of skin cells, and causes cell division. The damage caused to DNA actually creates a “disinfection” process – the destruction of bacteria and fungi, and the self-destruction of inflammatory and other damaged cells. This process also increases the level of free intracellular oxygen.

Cell renewal:

Plasma therapy stimulates skin cell renewal, making it a powerful anti-aging procedure. Plasma:

Skin lightening:

Plasma treatment is particularly effective for skin blemishes that are accompanied by inflammation. By reducing inflammation, plasma also reduces the amount of hemoglobin around the skin blemishes, thereby reducing their size. Plasma also increases the permeability of the epidermis, allowing active ingredients, such as skin lightening, balancing and improving skin function, to be effectively introduced into the skin.

Anti-aging and skin rejuvenation:

Plasma sterilizes the skin, promotes skin regeneration and the removal of dead skin cells, strengthens the skin's immune system and epidermal barrier, improves intercellular communication, temporarily increases epidermal permeability.
