This Privacy Policy sets out the privacy terms and conditions for your use of our website www.meda.lt (hereinafter referred to as Website). 1.3. The term "Personal Data" as used in this Privacy Policy means any information or set of information from which we can directly or indirectly identify you, for example, your name, surname, email address, telephone number, etc. 1.4. This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our Website, register as a registered user, view and order our products, subscribe to our newsletters, participate in promotions, competitions, contact us by phone or other communication channels, follow us on social networks, visit our office, supply us with goods or services or otherwise contact us.  

2. Where do we get personal data from?

2.1. We process your Personal Data obtained in the following ways:
  • When you provide Personal Data to us yourself;
  • When we collect Personal Data from you when you use the Website, through social media accounts we administer, when you contact us by phone or e-mail, or when you visit our office address.

4. How we use personal data and what principles we adhere to

4.1. We collect and process only such Personal Data as is necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected. We do not collect and store Personal Data that is not related to the performance of our activities and the sale of goods and provision of services to you. 4.2. If you are under 18 years of age, we advise you to consult with your parents or guardians and obtain their consent before providing us with your Personal Data. 4.3. When processing your Personal Data, we:
  • We comply with the requirements of valid and applicable legal acts, including the GDPR (REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 2016 April 27 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, hereinafter referred to as the GDPR);
  • We collect your Personal Data for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and do not process it in a manner incompatible with those purposes, except to the extent permitted by law;
  • We do not provide Personal Data to third parties and will not disclose it, except as specified in this Privacy Policy or applicable laws.

5. How and for how long we store your data 

5.1. We will not keep your data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it is processed.  5.2. For the purpose of direct marketing, personal data is processed for 10 years from the moment of receipt of consent to process his/her personal data. When personal data is processed during promotional campaigns (direct marketing games, lotteries, competitions), personal data is processed to the extent necessary for the organization and implementation of the promotional campaign, as well as in accordance with the data retention requirements of this type established in legal acts, limitation periods for the assertion and defense of legal claims, and if such claims are asserted, to the extent necessary for this purpose.   

6. Who are data processors and other data recipients?

6.1. The personal data you provide is not publicly available, we process and store it in accordance with legal acts and the highest standards applicable to our activities. In exceptional cases and for the purposes specified below, your personal data may need to be transferred to third parties:
  • To our partners or trusted third parties who help us operate our business or help us sell goods and/or provide services, such as shipping companies, financial institutions, insurers, etc. We will only provide Personal Data to partners as necessary to provide a specific service.
  • To Personal Data Processors engaged by the Company (for example, companies providing server services, website administration, companies handling accounting, etc.). 
  • To state bodies and institutions, law enforcement institutions, courts, and other persons performing functions assigned by law, in accordance with the procedure provided for by the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania. 
6.2. We process your data for direct marketing purposes only with your prior consent. If you have given us such consent, but no longer want your personal data to be processed for direct marketing purposes, you can refuse such data processing by clicking on the relevant link in the e-mail with the news sent to you or by writing to us at the e-mail address info@meda.lt. 6.3. You may submit any request or instruction related to the processing of Personal Data to us in writing in one of the following ways: by delivering it directly to the address Šaltalankių g. 1, Klevinės vs., Avižienių sen., 14180 Vilnius or by writing a letter by e-mail to info@meda.lt.  6.4. Upon receiving your request for the processing of Personal Data, we will provide a response no later than 1 month from the date of the request and will perform the actions specified in the request or inform you of the actions we are taking to resolve your request.   

7. Use of cookies 

7.1. Our Website uses cookies (small files stored on the hard drive of the Website visitors' device) to distinguish you from other Website visitors. The information collected by cookies allows us to ensure your browsing experience is more comfortable. 7.2. You can choose whether you want to accept cookies. 8. Other Provisions

8.1. We have the right to change the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of changes by posting an updated Privacy Policy on the Website or by other customary means of communication. Additions or changes to the Privacy Policy shall enter into force from the date of their publication, unless another effective date is specified. If you continue to use the Website after the terms of the Privacy Policy have been changed, we will consider that you have agreed to the changed terms of the Privacy Policy.
