Yonker portable finger pulse oximeter is an innovative medical device for measuring blood oxygen content (SPO2) and pulse rate (PR). It is small, low power consumption and convenient to operate. What does blood oxygen saturation depend on?

Your blood oxygen saturation levels depend on your health, breathing rate, the amount of oxygen in the air, your activity level, and other factors. Many respiratory diseases can reduce a person's hemoglobin saturation. In addition, factors such as anesthesia-induced autonomic dysregulation, trauma from major surgery, and some medical tests can also cause oxygen delivery problems that can reduce a person's hemoglobin saturation. As a result, symptoms such as migraines, vomiting, and fatigue may occur.

What is the normal blood saturation value?

Blood oxygen saturation is denoted by the symbol SpO2 and is expressed as a percentage. The normal saturation value for healthy people is 93–99%. In individuals with mild respiratory diseases, SpO2 may be 90 percent or higher. If the arterial blood oxygen saturation level falls below 90 percent, the person should be given supplemental oxygen.
