Product description
IVES (Integrated Volitional Control Electrical Stimulator) is an easy-to-use electrical neurostimulator that stimulates paralysed areas of the body through the skin with electrodes attached to specific body sites. The device combines EMG signals and functional electrical stimulation (FES) to achieve functional results for muscle weakness and paralysis. It works by using a low-frequency electrical current to help muscles contract and perform functional movements. Suitable for conditions such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke. IVES is highly effective because it has an EMG feedback detection function that allows the electrical stimulation to be proportional to the EMG signals received. Lighter movements lead to less stimulation, more movements lead to stronger simulation. The IVES GD-612 model is designed for patients to be treated at home and is therefore very light, compact and easy to use.
Treatment regimes:
Power assist mode (autonomous movement + electrostimulation)
Electrical stimulation proportional to the EMG signal is delivered to the treated part of the body using real-time response. The magnitude of the force generated can be visually monitored with muscle action potential indicators.
Sensor activation mode
The electrostimulation is started and stopped based on the response of the gait sensor. When the gait sensor detects that the patient’s heel has lifted off the floor, the stimulation shall be delivered according to the parameters set. This mode requires a gait sensor (optional accessory).
Indications:
– Prevention and containment of muscle atrophy – Reduction of contractures and seizures – Improvement of local circulation – Maintenance and increase of joint range of motion – Improvement of voluntary movements – Improvement of the abnormal position of the hanging foot
