VR gives patients the opportunity to be deeply immersed in a completely different world. In this world, the system provides motor, sensory and cognitive tasks, neuroregulatory exercises and relaxation techniques. While the performance of these tasks contributes to the therapeutic goal of rehabilitation, patients feel like they are playing a video game. Therapy can take place in a more complex or simplified environment tailored to the individual patient. It can be applied while the patient is lying, sitting or standing.
