Product description

A scotch shower is a very radical, highly stimulating and highly effective treatment based on the contrasting application of cold and heat (Kneipp method). The principle of operation is quite simple: a stream of water at 3 atm pressure is directed at the patient from a distance of 3 to 4 metres. Initially, a warm (38° – 42°C) water jet is applied for 30 seconds, followed by a cold (16° – 18°C) water jet for 5 to 10 seconds. The shower is repeated several times, first on the upper and lower limbs, then on the trunk and abdomen, always on the front and back of the body. AQUABELA is a system of shampoo, circulating and ascending showers with a wide range of shower applications. Three models are available:

AQUABELA 1:

  • – Kneipp method using a left syringe to alternate the temperature of the water warm/cold

 

AQUABELA 3:

  • – Kneipp method using a left syringe to alternate the temperature of the water warm/cold
  • – additional valve for controlling the circulation shower
  • – additional valve for controlling the rising shower

 

Requirements for the installation of an arc shower:

  • The water pressure in the water supply system shall not be less than 5 bar.
  • The pressure difference between the cold and hot water pipes shall not exceed 1 bar.
  • The distance from the syringe to the patient should be 3.0 – 3.5 m.
  • Water supply system main pipe diameter 1”, supply branch pipe diameter 3/4”.
  • Wall bracket for patient retention.
  • Staircase with floor slope. The pipe to the waste water system shall be at least 100 mm in diameter.
