Description

A new, effective method of treating urinary incontinence using functional magnetic stimulation. This treatment method can be used for both women and men, for all types of urinary incontinence, faster rehabilitation after surgery or childbirth, and even for some sexual disorders or chronic pain in the pelvis or lower back.

The FMS Care device was developed for the treatment of pelvic floor and urinary incontinence using a special FMS technology - functional magnetic stimulation. The pulsed magnetic field generated by the device causes the pelvic floor muscles to contract, without the need for any electrodes. It is an effective alternative to established electrical stimulation methods in rehabilitation, as it has many advantages. Magnetic fields are less painful, allow deep tissue penetration and do not require contact with the skin. FMS does not stimulate nerves on the surface of the skin and does not cause pain, therefore it is more pleasant than classic electrical stimulation.

Magnetic fields pass through clothing, tissue and bone and reach otherwise inaccessible tissues.

FMS treatment increases the strength and endurance of the pelvic floor muscles. In addition, the patient learns to properly perform exercises that strengthen the muscles. This ensures effective and long-term treatment of urinary incontinence and weakened pelvic floor muscles.

 Indications:

  • Acute musculoskeletal pain
  • Degenerative rheumatism
  • Neuropathies: motor, sensory, sensory-motor, mononeuropathy, polyneuropathy
  • Post-traumatic conditions
  • Rehabilitation after immobilization
  • Sports injuries
  • Postoperative conditions
  • Healing bone fractures
  • Healing wounds (excluding internal wounds and scabs)
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Rehabilitation after radical prostatectomy
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Chronic prostatitis
  • Erectile dysfunction

Therapy process:

  • The therapy is simple and does not require special patient preparation.
  • During therapy, the patient remains dressed and sits in a comfortable chair.
  • During stimulation, the patient focuses on the perception of muscle contractions, making it easier to learn to train the muscles.
  • The therapy is non-invasive, painless, and causes no known side effects.
  • Improvement is noticeable after just a few sessions.
  • The therapy plan is determined individually for each patient by a specialized doctor after an initial consultation and examination.

Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles after childbirth

The increased weight of the uterus and hormonal changes during pregnancy greatly strain the pelvic floor muscles, reducing their capacity. Childbirth can cause additional stretching and damage to the nerves or muscles even when the birth canal seems completely intact. This ultimately leads to uncontrolled urinary incontinence after childbirth. The only way to prevent this is to do exercises that strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Such exercises should be performed during pregnancy and continued after childbirth. Nevertheless, experts estimate that even two years after childbirth, up to 28% of all women have problems related to urinary incontinence. FMS allows the pelvic floor muscles to quickly regain proper tone, strength and endurance after childbirth. Urinary incontinence can be prevented or cured within 2-3 weeks!
