Description
IVES (Integrated Volitional Control Electrical Stimulator) is an easy-to-use electrical neurostimulator that stimulates paralyzed areas of the body through the skin using electrodes attached to specific areas of the body. This device combines EMG signals and functional electrical stimulation (FES) to achieve functional results related to muscle weakness and paralysis. It works by using low-frequency electrical current, helping muscles contract and perform functional movements. Suitable for disorders such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke.
IVES is extremely effective because it has an EMG feedback detection feature that allows the electrical stimulation to be proportional to the EMG signals being captured. Lighter movements result in less stimulation, more movements result in stronger modulation.
The IVES GD-612 model is designed for patients to treat at home, so it is very light, compact and easy to use.
Treatment regimens:
Power assist mode (independent movement + electrostimulation)
Electrical stimulation proportional to the EMG signal is delivered to the treated body part using real-time feedback. The magnitude of the induced force can be visually monitored with muscle action potential indicators.
Sensor activation mode
Electrical stimulation is initiated and terminated based on the response of the gait sensor. When the gait sensor detects that the patient’s heel has lifted off the floor, stimulation is delivered according to the set parameters. This mode requires a gait sensor (optional accessory).
